Dysturb launches a call for application for visual arts in partnership with Catchlight and The Everyday Projects
Dysturb is joining forces with Catchlight, the Everyday Projects, Pamela Chen and Dr. Jenell Stewart to launch Artists Against an #Infodemic, an open-call for visual art and storytelling that addresses key public health messages in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our common goal is to harness the power of visuals to challenge misinformation and disinformation and improve public communication and news delivery surrounding COVID-19. This initiative is made possible thanks to a grant from the John S. Knight Journalism Fellowships at Stanford University, and will allow us to reach other cities in the coming weeks and months, including Nairobi (Kenya), Seattle and the San Francisco Bay Area (USA).
The Photoville Teaching Artist Microgrant provides financial support for teaching artists in this time of crisis. This opportunity is for artists, and educators working in photography and visual storytelling, who:
Have lost pay as a result of COVID-19
Will contribute their artistic practice (storytelling, skills, knowledge etc) to education in the coming months
